October 4th:

radio ad 2 recap

This is a radio ad for Subway snack restaurants. It seems to target male office workers in their 20s to early 40s. Indeed, the voice addresses the listener directly as "tiger" which would appear more "male gender" oriented. We know the ad targets office workers because there is a direct reference to "the office cactus" and the advantages of the product which are underlined are that it is fresh, super tasty, quick and cheap... In other words, ideal for people who do not have a long lunch break. In terms of marketing techniques, the ad uses an energetic voice and the repetition of words like "hungry" to attract the listener's attention and trigger a craving. The catchphrase "real food, real quick" is efficient and the slogan "Subway, Eat fresh" is easy to understand and remember.

October 5th:

- group work on radio ad 3

October 12th:

Group work :

How can you promote access to food for everyone in your community?

Come up with 5 ideas.

Possible prompts :

We could / should... + BV

Why don't we... + BV...?

It might be an idea to + BV

Productions :

We should collect food or products which will soon be out of date and distribute them.  / We should collect excess food from schools and restaurants rather than waste it. / Everyone can produce food from their garden like fruits, vegetables or grains and give away what they don't need. / Another option is to provide people with free plots of land (community gardens) where they can produce their own food. / We can share the food with all people. / Why not organize a monthly community dinner where everyone could contribute./ We could create an organization responsible for collecting funds to feed the community./ It might be an idea to give the leftovers from the market to an association./ We could create a community space with fruit trees and everyone could benefit.

October 19th :
