War Paintings and Poems

Assignment number 1 :

Choose a war painting and prepare an analysis to be presented to the class (including information about the painter, situation in historic context  and your own interpretation of the painting)

- to be handed in in written version and audio version for April 5th (send it by e-mail to your teacher)

Assignment number 2 :

Choose a war painting among the ones on the blog and write an ekphrastic poem based on it using the technique we have worked on in class.

- to be handed in in written form (typed) for the week following the Easter holidays.  Send if you are not present in class.
